Over the years I have become more and more aware that as souls encased in bodies we are driven to find pleasure and some kind of joy in life. If we have experienced joy, bliss and pleasure we often return to the mechanisms and conditions that duplicate such experiences. This is most likely the reason that we continue to return to various habits that produced such experiences before. However, we begin to recognize there are those pleasures that are also inseparable from the pain they also give us. As we begin to recognize the bliss and joy from inner experiences, in for instance meditation, we gravitate more and more towards those lasting memories of joy. And as we recognize the fire that burned us we slowly detach ourselves from those pleasures.

Occasionally when we’ve been meditating we have certain breakthroughs. I feel like I had one in the last few days. Many of the loses and seeming gains in my life have not been as they appear. In fact looking back, I can be grateful for the loses because they helped me recognize i was in stagnant territory with stagnate people. Spirit finds ways to help us move forward when we meditate and attempt to live out our dharma according to a divine plan. Dualities such as gain and loss become second nature to the big picture. When the big picture begins to emerge we can see that sometimes large gains can mean … too much of a good thing and losses are often by grace to give us freedom from the school we have been enduring over and over life by life here at class 101; earth lessons.

I see life as a continuous balance act attempting to replace bad habits with good ones. At the same time attempting not to ignore desires that lurk in our subconscious, or perhaps more conscious mind, that must be addressed if we do not want to endure surprising backlashes when circumstances and people provide them in our lives.

Counteractions can and do come to haunt our lives if we believe we have risen above them and still they lurk in our past with only the right circumstances for them to once again surface. That is why environmental influences play such a strong role in spiritual life and practices.

I find sexuality a gift when responsibly expressed with an equal partner- that these bodies are gifts from our host planet, an all providing mother. And that by being here we are learning more in a unique kind of way. Unfortunately nations, including the west, have used sexuality for profit and social engineering degrading the spiritual values found in lovingly sharing with a partner.

Nature and these bodies are constantly teaching us.

Mother Earth is so good to us. Greed is the underlying factor behind many of our perversions.

I do not propose to have answers for others but rather am looking for answers for myself and so I am giving them here and working with those values and current circumstances to find solutions.

You have made several seeming speculations Eric. Your response brings up more questions; When do we ‘graduate’ from our lessons? And, when and who decides that? And who has the right to determine so called ‘perversions? Who is designated the arbitrator? And what is our host planet and who has determined that? Who has invited us as guests, being what you call our ‘host’? What is an ‘equal’ partner?

Often if we do not evaluate our answers we do not know if we are both talking about the same thing. We may even need to understand our questions better to find proper solutions and answers.

😂 I enjoyed your response. Yes I have selectively deleted part of your quote in an attempt to avoid any political potential disharmony that we may encounter. Yea three posts and they were all Steve; ha ha imagine that! I have nothing to say. But appears I’ll say it anyhow! You may be underestimating Steve plus one entered to the mix. Certainly there are a lot of characters that slide in and out of here. One would wonder. I often do myself as you no doubt know. But the blender needs a few extras so others can get a full picture. So I thank you anywhooo….with your responses, and adding to the mix.
