According to Vedic Astrologer and Sri Yukteswar, we are entering the Bronze Age or Dwapara Yuga. A time of rapid change and understanding the energy within matter and people. There is tremendous energy we have within us which can be used for many constructive purposes and also in matter as we have found already in for instance nuclear and atomic energy.

Steve, are we entering, or have we already entered Dwapara, although in the first fase?

Steve, are we entering, or have we already entered Dwapara, although in the first fase?

The age of bronze or Dwapara Yuga began in 1698 AD and will last for 2400 years ending in 4098 A.D. This puts us presently in the year 334 Dwapara. We are now beyond the transition phase of the Dwapara Yuga from Kali to Dwapara. Although since we are only 334 years into the Bronze age of Dwapara there is still much resistance and old influences of ignorance affecting this planet from the last Kali Yuga of darkness which reached its lowest point in about 498 A.D. The intellectual and spiritual power humanity (in the Bronze or Dwapara Yuga) will be twice as great as the common man in the Dark Ages, but Dwapara is only half as great as men and women will be at the peak, 12498 A.D. of the Golden age or Satya Yuga.

The intellectual and spiritual power of humanity is twice that of the ordinary person in the Kali Yuga of 498 A.D. The earth has already experienced a greater 'freedom, intellectual light and scientific advancement' since the event of the Bronze (Dwapara Yuga) age. Although there are admittedly pockets of resistance; dogmatism, religious persecution and intolerance of the dark ages, they are slowly becoming a thing of the past. The understanding of the fine attributes of matter and the energy released in us and the finer elements of matter has become more and more a part of our daily life.

Recognizing that the material plain we find ourselves in is only a dim reflection of the true reality of spirit, we represent a higher age that our consciousness brings to the planet through meditation, spiritual practice and understanding.

The above is a good illustration of these transitional times, with a fast evolution in intellect and science but a much slower adaptation by some societies and consequent pockets of ignorance, oppression, and poverty. Still pretty far from Treta and Satya.

Yes, in Kali Yuga mankind is confined to the world of gross matter. We are only a few hundred years beyond that kind of ignorance. The mind is still centered upon the problems of material existence. Yet an understanding of the finer  elements of matter have taken many of us out of the grave of matter, and into an understanding of expressions of energy and vibration. The second limiting factor of maya is becoming overcome. The element of the belief in materialism being the first and the second being the concept of space which will be annihilated later in this Dwapara Yuga.

During the Kali Yuga nature was seen as only a means by which to survive and conquer.  Now for many of us here, we have a reverence for her and seek to protect her and nourish her. Because, she resonates with an aura of peace at night in the desert. Vibrates with sound waves that calm the restless mind from streams and rivers. Sounds of om resonate from the ocean and high in the trees and the mountains .We also see other human beings as no longer to be used as only a means by which to satisfy desires but also as vibratory frequencies affecting our own state of being and mind…. Affecting our souls progress or conversely deterring our progress through unwitting drama and dissonance from the social maya that permeates the social perspective of the ignorant masses; People walking in their sleep like in the dream reality that surrounds us.

Great parallels Steve...
I was just sharing with my Sister that I believe the earth and its people are connected.

It's a reflection of our larger self.

Yes, lots of turmoil and unrest still guys. Lots of misinformation... But lots of opportunity too. Lots of potential for us to find and create harmony.
I pray we are able to do so, and granted clarity and strength in the face of direct opposition.

mccoy as you most likely  know I’ve been fascinated with Sri Yukteswar’s view of the Yugas most of my life.  I have also been interested in astrology,  history and psychic phenomena and Yogananda’s teachings.

In all my experiences I have found that in UFO studies the most important data I’ve seen points to some of the most high and developed beings come from Alcyone. Tara Mata, as one of the devotees who spent so  much time with Paramahansa Yogananda, personally editing his books and who the Guru, had said she had already gained a place in heaven because she had meditated and spent so much time at spiritual discipline in previous incarnations….She also mentioned Alcyone as the candidate for a binary star. And the Pleiadian’s are considered very high beings in most mystical studies. As you may know Alcyone is in the Pleiades constellation.

At the same I may consider behind the intuitive knowledge of for instance Sri Yukteswar, this does not mean I ignore scientific study.

 https://www.space.com/22538-nemesis-star.html

Conclusion from the article above…..

(T)he Sun is not part of a binary star system. There has never been any evidence to suggest a companion. The idea has been disproved by several infrared sky surveys, most recently the WISE mission. If there were a brown dwarf companion, these sensitive infrared telescopes would have detected it. — David Morrison, Astrobiology Senior Scientist, October 17, 2012)

With these facts in mind I wonder what insights the binary star institute came up about the Pleiades as a possible dual star ⭐️ candidate that we are rotating nearer and farther away from in this 24,000 year cycle?

I am ok with some contradictions in various fields of knowledge. It may be hundreds or thousands of years to resolve such differences. In the meantime we are learning about how to contend with the same contradictions we may easily find in ourselves. I think it is likely that until we can include a larger view of life and different dimensions that also coexist with our own, we may not be able to resolve such riddles. As an example; how does the astral and causal universes affect and coexist with our present understanding of the physical universe?

I also find it fascinating to find the same apparent contradictions we acknowledge in our own consciousness are also reflected in the outsider universe that surrounds us. With this admission and acceptance we may also understand the notion that until we ourselves have risen beyond duality we may be unable to formulate an explanation for the seemingly endless contradictions we find in our personal and collective universe.

Steve, I remember that the Binary Research institute made hypotheses on the Sirius binary system being a candidate for SY's sun's dual. They were just unproved hypotheses though. I couldn't find any references to the Pleiades in a quick search, but we should dig deeper.

The initial brown star hypothesis as a dual must be trashed because that would be very visible in the infrared, as the article you link mentions. In my layman's opinion, the best candidate for a dual star would still be a very small black hole.

Current research in astronomy is the search for such small and inactive black holes, which do not emit any radiation, on the basis of gravitational effects. Something may come up. like the recent discovery of Gaia Black hole, a previously undetected BH just around the corner, so to speak, which is part of a binary system itself. This shows that binary systems with black holes are not uncommon.

Yea many times our search follows our preconceived ideas. So having read so much about the Pleiades and it’s spiritual significance as well as that of Sirius it  makes me want to fit them into a larger picture. But there is another part of me that reminds myself to keep my mind open to the possibilities. So I can see why you see the idea of a black hole as a possibility. Perhaps even a black hole that is wormhole into another dimension as for example the astral realm.  iA way into the astral worlds and an astral Sun there.

I noticed that you haven’t yet responded to my notion about the Stars and celestial phenomena in the astral and causal realms which may or may not have a physical affect on our earth in the physical realm….

From the ‘Resurrection of Sri Yukteswar’ in the Autobiography of a Yogi

Adorable Master, please tell me more about the astral cosmos.” Though I had slightly relaxed my embrace at Sri Yukteswar’s request, my arms were still around him. Treasure beyond all treasures, my guru who had laughed at death to reach me!

“There are many astral planets, teeming with astral beings,” Master began. “The inhabitants use astral planes, or masses of light, to travel from one planet to another, faster than electricity and radioactive energies.

“The astral universe, made of various subtle vibrations of light and color, is hundreds of times larger than the material cosmos. The entire physical creation hangs like a little solid basket under the huge luminous balloon of the astral sphere. Just as many physical suns and stars roam in space, so there are also countless astral solar and stellar systems. Their planets have astral suns and moons, more beautiful than the physical ones. The astral luminaries resemble the aurora borealis — the sunny astral aurora being more dazzling than the mild-rayed moon-aurora. The astral day and night are longer than those of earth.

“The astral world is infinitely beautiful, clean, pure, and orderly. There are no dead planets or barren lands. The terrestrial blemishes — weeds, bacteria, insects, snakes — are absent. Unlike the variable climates and seasons of the earth, the astral planets maintain the even temperature of an eternal spring, with occasional luminous white snow and rain of many-colored lights. Astral planets abound in opal lakes and bright seas and rainbow rivers.

Steve, I have no idea nor any valid hypotheses on the influence of astral and causal stars and planets on our material universe. Probably, it's too deep of a metaphysical concept to be understood by any other than Sri Yukteswar.

Steve, I have no idea nor any valid hypotheses on the influence of astral and causal stars and planets on our material universe. Probably, it's too deep of a metaphysical concept to be understood by any other than Sri Yukteswar.

“You have read in the scriptures,” Master went on, “that God encased the human soul successively in three bodies — the idea, or causal, body; the subtle astral body, seat of man’s mental and emotional natures; and the gross physical body. On earth a man is equipped with his physical senses. An astral being works with his consciousness and feelings and a body made of lifetrons. A causal-bodied being remains in the blissful realm of ideas. My work is with those astral beings who are preparing to enter the causal world.”

~Sri Yukteswar

I am by no means saying that I’m an expert on the subject. We are told that what happens here in the material universe originates from thought in the causal realm and becomes manifest in a more tangible reality in the astral realm. Many inspirational musical ideas and sounds are heard and are coming through to the physical realm from the astral universe. No doubt there are also beings that are able to communicate and manifest through certain humans who are receptive to their presence as I have witnessed in my life.

I know this to be true because I heard astral music as a young man, at times I found it distracting from meditation. Still the source of inspiration that I connect with and channel from is from the astral realm. I find there  are many angelic beings from the astral realm waiting to help us if we are persistent about their help and have faith in them. So I would not see it to far fetched to also think that some of the astral stars and moons, being astral presences, are also affective in their influence on us as physical stars and moons are as well. Yes no doubt it would take a high spiritual presence to know just which ones are affecting us and how they are doing so. I would imagine that this will come to pass in the higher ages as more and more of the physical realm will be opened up to the influences of higher realms in the general public.

“On earth a man is equipped with his physical senses. An astral being works with his consciousness and feelings and a body made of lifetrons. A causal-bodied being remains in the blissful realm of ideas.” ~Sri Yukteswar
