Brother Brahmananda

Had the good fortune to talk with Brother Brahmananda today. A rather short conversation but I received some of his counci/opinions on some subjects I will include here, and in areas on the site that are pertinent to this conversation.

He expressed the need to be loyal to a guru’s teachings and meditation practices over others, should you find your guru. And that though Paramahansa Yogananda did see many saints he was loyal to Sri Yukteswar after meeting him. And expressed that I would find this to eventually be true, also.

He also expressed the mood of the country ( the United States ) as having the potential of a civil war with such differences in political views. And the importance of seeing it as a part of a divine show. He also expressed that there are people he found not to have sane views regarding politics. And that in the Self-Realization Fellowship itself there are many people with differing views. I told him that I felt I had a small role to play in this unfolding show in politics and that I felt I also had such a similar role during the civil war. He said that as a monk he did not and wondered what civil war I was talking about, since there have been so many. And I explained the one in the United States,

I will include his council on UFO’s in the appropriate section; ‘UFO’s  and Alien Refections’ under ‘Come in for a Spell’ And his views and council on the SRF lessons,  under teachings of the Guru, which is this section……

He told me that  Mrinalini Mata was given the task of editing the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons. Brother said that Master was unsatisfied with the way the SRF lessons were originally presented and left her with the task of editing the SRF lessons to be republished. Apparently I have the old version. And he suggested I get the new version which Mrinalini Mata completed and had expressed her happiness to him, that she had completed that service and shortly after passed away from her life here in this incarnation.
