I was badly injured in an accident last year and had a long time to recuperate. i used the time to step up my meditations and japa, practicing the presence, spiritual study, etc. I was meditating like never before--up to 8 hours a day, most days at least 7. I'd never really appreciated the power of stillness until then. So while I think I understand the attraction to the higher kriyas, I do feel that just the power of first kriya is incredible. Not to mention the preliminary techniques...
Every one is different weboflife; for me …..
I just found that given the go ahead for practicing 64 Kriya daily and an occasional day of 108 kriya’s was a bit much. So I feel fortunate to have a variety of options; higher Kriyas and the IAM meditation. Even the preliminary techniques can seem repetitive in long meditation periods. Most probably I have a ways to go before being able to focus on that many repetitions in long meditation sessions.
I've never done 108 kriyas. I was getting toward that number but since late last year respiratory problems so its a bit out of reach for me atm. I am going to apply for higher kriyas (Inshallah) and appreciate your take on these techniques. What is IAM meditation?
