A few days ago I talked with a horse owner, who told me how much forage is needed to feed one horse. About 1.24 acres in a temperate Mediterranean climate like ours.
Feeding a cow requires much more, perhaps double that amount. Presently there is vast demand for grass-fed meats, so I'm afraid the fate of the Amazon won't be so good.
