Obstinacy can be a good attitude in some instances, but the kind of obstinate mentality you re talking about, that sure negates mental and spiritual evolution.
As you say, the guidance of a guru is fundamental. Traditionally, it was the father figure or the elders of the community who gave guidance but presently this aspect is usually lost. I did not have much guidance from my earthly father, but what I missed from him I had back in abundance from the SRF gurus.

Well at the time I was looking at your natal chart. Although you have made an interesting point. Because if you look at your natal chart you have an quincunx to Pluto from your Moon when you were born. So you see as Pluto moves closer to your natal Moon it will also be transiting a quincunx to its natal position. Pluto quincunx Pluto in transit. So yes I would say given the length of a Pluto transit there will be some transforming changes and adjustments to upcoming events.
