Divine Magnetic Diet By Paramhansa Yogananda
Super-Advanced Course #1 (1930): Lesson 5
Divine magnetic diet: physical and mental methods to rejuvenate somatic cells and
awaken the latent powers of the mind and the inner forces of the soul.
Well-thought out fasting under the guidance of a specialist, can cure most diseases
diseases.
Fasting can be divided into two main groups: partial fasting and full fasting.
Partial fasting
Four general subdivisions can be mentioned in this group:
(I) Limit diet to certain foods
(II) Abstain from certain foods
(III) Limit food intake in quantity
(IV)Limit the number of meals a day to one or two
Some of these ways of fasting can be combined. For example, to cure a
disease or weight loss, a person can abstain from certain foods completely and
limit the intake of others etc
More specific subdivisions are:
Liquid fasting: One or two days a week, as long as one does not feel hungry, the
food intake can be limited to (1) milk, (2) orange juice or any fruit juice.
Fasting with solids: This diet is limited to (1) fresh fruit; (2) raw vegetables; (3) vegetables
semi-boiled, including the broth in which they were boiled. Drink plenty of water with this diet.
No bread or foods rich in starch or sugar, no meat, eggs or fish--just
the foods mentioned in (1) or (2) or (3) and only one meal per day (at noon).
Oxygen Fasting: Inhale and exhale deeply six to twelve times, filling the
lungs of fresh air from lower lobes. This method can be practiced outdoors
for twelve hours, walking slowly and alternating resting. When the
weather conditions make it necessary, practice it indoors, with windows well
open. (Of course, you should wear coats in winter to protect yourself from the cold. )
This fasting helps spiritual growth. Weak or invalid people should not
practice it.
Complete Fasting
The complete fast, as a rule, should not exceed ten days and should not even be attempted
during that time except under the supervision of a specialist. However, refrain from
food for one day a week and for three consecutive days a month, produces results
beneficial. Drink plenty of water during the full fast to replace the
liquid lost due to evaporation through pores etc.

Some of the above suggestions have been extensively dissected by modern nutrition science. For example, what today is known as intermittent fasting, is number IV. There have also been very interesting attempts to group together  I+II+III+IV for a limited number of days, choosing the type of foods and the small amounts in a careful way (by counting calories, protein and carbs and decreasing them to a minimum), in such a way that it triggers similar metabolic paths and effects as those triggered by an only water fast.
The method, which I have tried many times, is the 5-days Fast Mimicking Diet by Valter Longo, an eminent longevity researcher.

Mccoy and others interested in their health and a magnetic diet; one thing that is prevalent in most everything is sugar. Sugar is in bread, salsa, cereal, drinks, canned fruit and vegetables, even salad dressing and hidden in microscopic print in spices, to name a few. Look at labels. Business adds sugar to most foods. We are conditioned to get use to it even in tomato sauce and other sauces of every type. I’ve had to recondition my food attitudes that were brain washed in me since childhood in a nation that routinely uses business to make money on a gullible public. Do not trust the unsolicited education you get from endless neon signs littering the landscape in the United Clones of brain washed cities and other nations that have been carbon copies of billionaires. Billionaires who capitalize on the thoughtless exploitation of the masses and the ‘Americanization’ of other countries, at the resulting cost of climatic disaster and spiraling health costs.

Now I am able to taste the sweetness of the sugar monster even in my salads and set the food aside when they are an unwelcome guest. We’ve been duped by uncaring profit  makers pandering to our base desires. Their act of catering to or profiting from the weaknesses, vices, or unreasonable desires of the deluded masses.

I have not even included the sugar in death 💀 foods. No sense going there since most of us have graduated from the cheese burger 🍔 generation and French Fried Burger Grease King. The days of grease coming out of my pores are gone forever. Someday places like McDon Burgers will be banned from the earth. Most of us are already recognizing the slick and sick business maneuvers of Don and his cheeseburger generation enthusiasts and unhealthy lifestyle. Although in our life time the general public will not see or understand the benefits both karmically and health wise of such futuristic scenarios. For now, seeing people roll out of their cars instead of step out of them is the result of social conditioning in corporate American culture 😬. It’s a wonder (see photo below) that such people don’t roll on to the stage or aren’t yet wheelchaired to the podium. Perhaps 🤔 they still have just enough hot 🥵 air in them to keep them upright from all their boasting.

Yes, I've wondered, Trump looks pretty healthy for his diet, probably he takes quite a few medications and follows medical advice as to minimize the consequences, i.e., publicly he eats moderate amounts of those junk foods and at home follows a healthier diet.

At times I find that it is difficult to fast because of work or devotion to for instance an art. However once there is a break in the activity i immediately seem to fast quite naturally from food I am accustomed to during the day.

At times I find that it is difficult to fast because of work or devotion to for instance an art. However once there is a break in the activity i immediately seem to fast quite naturally from food I am accustomed to during the day.

I find that while on a fast it is good to keep the mind active since the energy level is not usually as high as the body is not used to the energy of food not being consumed. Often coming off a fast can be too sudden as the ‘greed’ for food gains momentum quickly, and the body is now subject to the stimulating affect of food again.
