Frustration, being anxious and anger are all a result of not accepting things and conditions the way they are but expecting them to work out and go to a plan we have anticipated, rather than the way it is. As long as we express such symptoms and responses we cannot really be in a state of samadhi. We who have experienced such examples of these calm and unmoved emotions by others of saintly nature and of masters, know that when such qualities of disturbance manifest we are witnessing imperfections in human nature in others and ourselves.

At any rate I’m proposing an idea here and anyone listening may want to respond, and your responses are welcome. That idea is that given the many experiences many of us have had, perhaps 🤔 there is an element of spirituality transforming our lives and preparing us for enlightenment over time. Maybe a lot of small epiphanies can lead to a higher consciousness that eventually we can call enlightenment?

I am also learning that anytime I find myself emotionally reactive to something- anything, and suffer from it... it is purely because my Ego demands my lease on life be the correct one. Whether I am upset someone is behaving in a disagreeable manner, I'm not getting the attention I deserve from the workplace, I find so and so to be annoying... All these little, "things" are nothing but silly demands of the Ego which seems quite childish in nature.

How so? Because like a child, it does not see the greater picture.

But, there is something within that eventually takes the adversity and all the suffering as an opportunity. It can be hard, but the reason is likely because we no longer wish to be a slave of circumstance. We sometimes forget, and yet, every little effort to alleviate our own suffering is good for all.

Swami Vidyadhishananda has made a comment once about suffering... And I didn't fully understand it at the time. He said suffering is unique. We can never know the full extent of anothers suffering.

Surely we can recognize the ignorance and suffering in others? There are similar qualities. And surely a Master recognizes the signs of ignorance and suffering.

But it would appear a trick if we are so convinced in thinking we understand the full extent of someone elses suffering. We have been deluded once more- and Life will once again humble us in a way that reveals we have been mislead by the notions of our Ego.

I have found that frustration is one of the most challenging feelings for me to deal with on this life journey. Large companies take up most of our time these days. Waiting on the phone for hours or spending time for hours in a attempts to log in use user id’s and passwords that do not function properly and being delayed for hours or days by miscommunication and mistakes by corporate offices are some of the most challenging tasks in modern life. However i have that the challenges involved are a test of patience and a way to assess just how much anger is found in our make up when we do not get service or have to wait for long periods of time for service.

One important outcome that sometimes happens is that if we endure attempting to be kind to those that have delayed our service or caused us challenges at some point there may be a breakthrough where we find that a knew recognition of awareness of a sudden ‘aha’ may be found and that are our endurance is rewarded.

I suppose others may be different. But for me I gave up frustration and anger with others a long time ago. I think it is more difficult to see frustration in ourselves and because of ourselves. But after meditating a long time I find a new peace that surrounds me and reminds me to be patient with this body and mind I’m inhabiting as a soul. This takes away the frustration that I have felt with my own personal perceived limitations and frustration.

Frustration evaporates more and more when I focus in a relaxed way during meditation, it carries over to my other activities as well. There is a sense of anxiousness when the mind and emotions are not at peace with themselves; thus the need for a meditative mind in all activities as well.
