I almost squished this little feller. Sitting in the trail warming up. Since I started hunting mushrooms I can see a centipede fart and blow a leaf over at a hundred yards. LOL. Not that good but everything shines in the woods my dad has given me the sight. Blind most of the time EXCEPT when I am in the woods. Does that make any sense? Anyways. I wanted to pick him up and connect for a few seconds before I moved him, but I was scared to I don't trust one of my hands and I would have needed them both. No sense in scaring him/her too much anyways he needs that poison to eat. They don't have much and need the food to make more. That is why adults DONT REALLY HIT you with all the venom they can. They just want to make your day uncomfortable so you leave them alone. Step on them though and I am sure they give you a full dose. We have rattle snakes in the mountains in the rocks, copperheads, water moccasins, coral snakes in the south.
