If he didn’t think it would be true of others also I don’t think he would have said it. The words said here were certainly not meant for him alone.

Sometimes we all think that if something works for us, then it should darn well work for you too.

I understand that but if someone has water and you want it… you can get it from the person willing to show you how to get it. Similarly if someone wants enlightenment there are those who have it and know how you can get it. They will also help you get it.

IMO, you have to use what works for you. I can't copy, imitate, do something just because someone else says it works. Sure some of it is useful, the basics, but the details, that's where I have to find my own mojo.
