I just had the thought,
The Path to Intuition.
In order to see clearly, we must practice Sincerity with Self. If we act contrary to our beliefs, or insincere with our desires- the ability to sense the subtle guidance is clouded.
Remain Flexible to New Ideas
However it doesn’t happen overnight. Do not think as a beginner that you can abandon reason and common sense “because my intuition is guiding me”. Through your persistent prayers for guidance and your receptively, an inner sense will prompt you as to the best way to proceed. When that happens go forward with full faith; but all the while remain flexible: “It seems to me that this is the right way to go. But at anytime Lord, You show me that I have made the wrong choice, I can step back; I can accept correction.”
Sometimes, we get so infatuated with our own ideas or wanted way of doing things, that we strongly resent any suggestion that some other way might be better or equally acceptable. Perhaps at work you have gone to a lot of effort to prepare a proposal but your ideas are rejected. The ego-bounded individual will get upset over such treatment. But that isn’t the right attitude. Do not be the type of person who is irrationally attached to his own idea-it’s his “baby” and you had better use it or else! This is emotional blindness; stubbornly clinging to an idea just because it is “ours” prevents us from recognizing opportunities to expand our perception and understanding.
