Steve, the above was a clear and concise explanation. One of the aspects which surprised me more is that black holes were predicted by Einstein's theory of general relativity. However, Einstein himself declared that such objects were too strange to be true and probably did not exist in reality. He also was doubtful about the existence of gravity waves which his theory predicted. The first detection of gravity waves occurred 100 years after he formulated his theory.

Einstein was ridiculously ahead of his time. Yogananda paid a tribute to him in his autobiography. Einstein probably was an advanced yogi who incarnated to elucidate some of the deepest ideas from God's vast spheres of thought; some of the most intricate aspects of the cosmic creation. Most of Einstein's model of general relativity has been confirmed decades or a century after his formulation (gravity waves), when unbelievably sophisticated instruments have been realized.

We still don't know what's inside a black hole. Whether immensely packed matter, pure energy, or nothing but warped spacetime. since there is no way to go beyond the Schwarzshild's radius, we simply cannot know. The only way to know is to draw from God's spheres of thought, the causal world where God planted the ideas which gave rise to the astral and the material worlds. Maybe some scientists will be inspired to have such a deep intuition. Maybe.
