There are a couple important points here;

I have seen such type of lights from our earthly planet. Lights traveling at tremendous speeds. Like streaks in the sky. Also wonder if they are physical in nature or masses of light as Sri Yukteswar describes above

That's not very clear. I remember Yogananda somewhere else writing that the speed of light in the astral plane is far higher than in the material cosmos, so maybe that's the concept. But the material and the astral plane are usually very well separated.
