A Zen koan is a word, a phrase, a sentence or a little story designed to have a revelatory effect on the mind, without necessarily making any literal sense. Paradox is a way to knock the mind out of its accustomed ruts without ever needing to find a solution to the paradox.

I believe learning with my dreams have served as a type of KOAN. Not necessarily a phrase but a way of teaching that does not rely on reason.

The definition from the dictionary:
" a paradox to be meditated upon that is used to train Zen Buddhist monks to abandon ultimate dependence on reason and to force them into gaining sudden intuitive enlightenment"

Yea Eric as I have mentioned before the greatest koan that ever affected my life came from something Amma said that opened my heart 💜 to the words meaning and inspiration and helped me be ‘ less dependent on reason ‘.
