I wrote this poem this morning. I know there will be somebody here who will appreciate it.

Words to the Guru (Jai Paramhansaji)

Divine spark, sacred light
Ever-present, guiding
In the subtle way
Which is Yours alone.

Your writing changed my life,
Changed my idea of faith.
God talks, I listen.

I respond with a song or a poem,
Divinely guided, led inside.
Just the right word waiting
Behind half open soul doors.

Guide me still further,
To know my Self, to know
What is within
Earnest, perfect peace.

There is no change
Which is not meant
No test or trial not
Divinely sent

To show the Light,
To lead the way
Usher me onward
To a different day.

Progress often comes to me in little steps Live to Learn. i hope that you will progress with us even though the steps at times seem to be small.
It is so nice of you to share your intmate creativity with us. Let us share together.  i want to tell you a short story. When i was younger i spent hours and hours a day practicing music. Sometimes i thought to myself: It seems that i would have more of an audience by this time.

One day while jogging i stopped in a field. There was nobody there. It was emty as far as the eye could see. But then not too far away i heard a bird singing the most wonderful tune. i thought to myself: That bird is all alone and is singing to what? It came to me that the bird sang because that was its nature. It did not really matter if there was someone there to listen or not. After that the more and more i played music the more and more i wrote i tried to do it more and more for God and not people. If people appreciated it then i would be grateful but if they did not i still always remember that bird singing one beautiful afternoon.

In Divine Friendship

Jitendra

Very nice poem Live to Learn, thank you for sharing it with us. And I do like the picture of Yogananda too.
