it's not that it's incorrect, it's that there is a sense of fanaticism and greed which has marred the essence of religion. it's equally important to realize the law of nature as a spirit guide, awakening the individual to their own ideal. renunciation does not come by force, this planet has taught us to eat the fruit and observe evolution. as hazrat inayat khan says... rise through love.
there are different stages of evolution made evident by observing the manifestations(life) in this particular region of space and time(earth).

no one be shamed for where they are at spiritually, god as one and all understands. it might be that this is a school house... it might be that the lord wishes to experience the senses through us... be honest with yourself as you seek your own enlightenment.
