Amma made some fascinating claims about prayer last time I saw her. She told of how many people falsely think that their prayers for others are not helpful to themselves. She explained that praying for others and for world peace benifits ourselves as well. Every time we think of others in our prayers we are immediately blessed ourselves. When we begin the understand Consciousness it becomes more clear that thinking of others expands our own consciousness.
