Do dreams tell the truth? Or can they also be illusions caused by desires. Can we use dreams to guide us? Or like many things in life; They too can deceive us and lead us down dead end roads?
Steve,
I've been thinking more on your question this morning. Dreams are a doorway to the varying degrees of consciousness. I believe we can learn a lot from our dreams and I agree with your thoughts. From my meditation efforts and studies of yoga-science, from the wisdom imparted by the great teachers, I believe in the different layers of existence in which we try to move through like a raising of the veil in order to achieve a state of God-union. So, it isn't off to think that dreams may be included in one of these layers that serve as a sheath for the One. I am forever grateful for my dreams which have lead me to the astral realm and shown me Truth experienced on an intuitive level. The indifference comes from continuing the practice of meditation and the study of the wisdom imparted to us from the Prophets and Masters, understanding and reinforcing the ultimate goal of becoming self realized and thus a liberated Soul.
In short, Yes and yes. And quite profoundly, Pir-O-Mushrid talks to us with today's wisdom on an indifference that comes from having gone through interest... Without dreams I wouldn't of had these experiences- some reflective, some other worldly or celestial, some psychic... I gave a lot of importance to my dreams and now I simply find myself thankful for being shown a way.
