"If escapism be a need of a man cramped in his narrow personality, can any other escape compare with that of omnipresence?" -Yogananda

Time and time again I feel my mind straining out as it looks to fall back on old pathways associated with comfort. I have failed before and may fail again(not so easily I might add). In tonights instance it was eating later than intended. I had the option to meditate or eat and watch TV, of course regret follows the later choice knowing the joy and peace meditation brings. A soul doesn't wish to go backwards yet it is a process, I suppose. I am blessed to remember these lines given by Yogananda. It is equally important to tell ourselves before sleep and upon wake, "I am not this body or these thoughts." Subtle tuning... Won't give up... Can't give up.
