I've not shared this update but both Sammy and Stella were finally adopted long ago. Sammy, the older rescue who I took off the streets one rainy day was adopted by an older gentlemen and Stella, the younger more curious one was adopted by a younger girl. Their respective human companions even share similar features which made me believe they were safely guided by God to the perfect home. Still, I find I miss them a lot and think I made a poor decision taking them in to begin with since I was unable to provide for them after separating from my last relationship. Only God knows the stress they endured during the transitioning periods for which I am responsible. Though they may not have found the homes they have today if things hadn't played out the way they did... Since I have no way to communicate with the owners and the cats situation I have no assurances this is a good thing.
Steve, I have never got around to asking you but have always meant to do this after reading something you said on prayer before... I think you have a beautiful understanding and would love if you could share again your beliefs and experiences concerning prayer? My prayer for the girls is that they are happy right now, well fed and given the love, freedom and protection a domestic feline deserves. I pray to God for forgiveness for my past and hope the pain in their hearts has long been alleviated.
