The Fourth Sacred Secret: Practice Spiritual Right Action Have you ever found yourself spending hours contemplating the “right” thing to do? Spiritual right action will give you the courage and clarity to find your way out of life’s conflicts.
Although we do get guidance and protection on this conscious journey homeward .. I find one of the most difficult challenges on the spiritual path is having the wisdom and having the proper discrimination to make the right decisions in life. At these times I often find myself rereading the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons and going to the beach, the woods or a park to meditate and find direction. I think there is an important function of meditation they left out here that I will add; it is often the process itself that brings spiritual awakening. One finds discovery thru the unfolding process associated with spiritual disciplines.
Yogananda says in lesson 79. Human will directed by selfish desire and ignorance bring suffering in trouble you cannot know any lasting happiness until you desire God truth above all things and turn your will toward the never-to-be-given-up search for God.
