Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

« on: Dec 11, 2015 12:56 am »

I found it difficult to find a place for this on the forum because you could fit it in different places. However looking at the various periods that religions were more prominent wecfind that according to Sri Yukteswar these periods determined the spiritual level of the common person and general population. We could say also that the perception of those people would also have influenced the books they wrote including the spiritual books. So; in some ways I would say that we are more fortunate to read books that were in the higher ages and came out of the higher ages. Those books are associated with Buddhism and Hinduism. Christianity and Islam were primarily wrtten in the lower dark ages.

As a result we see that meditation, reincarnation and duality were openly discussed in religious works from those higher times.
