Since we're probably meditating in the comfort of our respective homes- I would like to request that whenever you are done meditating Saturday that you say a prayer for mother earth, humanity and our meditation group.

When I meditate I simply try to still the mind and let the God work his wonders. Whatever Love I receive Saturday night I'd like to send back in prayer at the end.

The most important aspect of the mantra is that the sage does not pray only for his clan or nation but for the whole world or, more precisely, all the worlds2. This, as Amma tells us and shows us, is the correct way to pray. Instead of asking for something for our self, Amma advises us to pray for the whole creation. Praying for the welfare of all sentient beings–all humans, all animals, all plants—our mind becomes more expansive. Through such prayer we slowly can go beyond our limited egocentric concepts of self to identify with the entire creation, recognising its true nature to be none other than our own. And as we too are part of the world, we also are benefited from the blessings of the prayer.

Amma’s whole life is a constant endeavour to bring happiness to as many beings as possible. Her life verily is this prayer in action. She is showing us the correct attitude by which not only to pray but also by which to live.

While chanting Om lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu next time, let us try to feel deeply for all living beings, and make a resolve to live in this selfless spirit.

May peace and harmony prevail.

You and I are quite often on the same wavelength but when it comes to politics we seem to be using walkie talkies with dead batteries. Hmmmm

Steve and Kellie,
I have a friend or two joining in with us tonight at 8PM central to meditate. I really liked what you said to me over the phone Steve, you said something about trying to connect with each other but not to force anything or try too hard. I am humbled by your gentle approach and your dedication to the forum members.
Also, I am drawn to this mantra you've shared and the fact that Amma does this chant daily makes me extremely grateful for having visit her. She is a living example of devotion and service. <3
In the video you posted, it said, when you pray for others you gain peace and quietude. All day, thinking- "may all beings be happy" you gain a certain quietude or introspection for another person, allowing them the space to express themselves- without forcing anything in return. That quietude really stands out to me. May all beings be happy!
LaurenLoo will be unable to join us but she will be be sharing in sincere prayer, for the happiness of all beings, at 8PM.  Smiley

Is that you fossil fuel? I saw you in a vision in meditation. Your teeth were glistening! Do you use gleem toothpaste? People in the know want to know! Toothpaste contains formaldehyde, the same chemical that is used for preserving bodies! You look well preserved. I can say that much for you. My vision of you during meditation. See picture below. Brush your teeth with SOS pads. Tooth brushes are used for toilet rings. Keep the tartar off your teeth!

Last night I felt a lot of energy and was able to meditate longer than normal- that is to say, I hadn't felt any restless urges to stop my practices. I wanted to linger in it longer. I prayed in the beginning and started early, around 7:45PM central. I offered my space to Spirit and the souls tuning in. I hadn't realized how much time had passed until the dogs were disturbed and wanted to be let outside. It was 9:15PM. Then I decided to keep the practice going outside under the tree from 9:15 to about 10:05. I offered the peace and happiness to all beings. I greeted you Steve and KJos and other friends who had joined in with us.
I had some unique thoughts, as well as a slowing down of thoughts. At one point I felt a lot of energy around my hands, they felt warmer than usual too. I also came to a realization of Spirit by Unity and asked God to breathe through our breaths. It was a lovely meditation, thinking that god is breathing through me made it easy to focus on the breath and feel immersed with the experience. We ought to hold these more often, the sincerity and energy kept me going and I appreciate you for tuning in and assisting me too.

Dear Steve,

I was able to meditate around 10PM central tonight.

Out of curiosity, how long were you meditating yesterday? I ask because I think I felt you and was encouraged by you to keep going. Maybe it's just Eric being in his own head, but I thought you were there longer than some.

Kjo's how was your meditation?

With love.

yes I was meditating till about 10:05 central on Sunday nite if that is what you are referring to. The best time for me is usually Sunday nite at 9 eastern which is 8 central. I was wrapping it up when you started but often after meditation I get contemplative and occupy my thoughts on relationships with friends. Because my thoughts are somewhat settled during meditation I often pick up the thought waves of others and find it interesting when I have received messages from them during meditation. I do not give too much significance to the phenomena because desire is still a great influence in thought. However I do find it important for me to ask this question quite frequently... that is from hence do thoughts originate and how much is thought transference a part of every day experiences.

I know for sure that I have communicated by thought transference but find myself still a novice at the practice. I have a book I believe you will enjoy reading now Eric. It is called Initiation by Elizabeth Haich often you can get such books on Internet sites used and they can be very cheap but if you don’t have it by time I am done reading it I intend to send it to you. I do not read too much anymore but-not like I did when I was younger and took more interest in the experiences of others-because I was yet a novice at having experiences I admired in others. Since I have been reading it I often think of you and your experiences while I am reading it which may be why you felt that way last nite. Language and reading-while not as important as experience-is still an important communication skill and helps us express our ideas and personal experience coherently. I was told that Paramahansa Yogananda was able to just put his hands on a book an know its contents. I suppose in some ways we may be able to understand people, books and animals to some degree by touching them or putting our minds on their thoughts. Lately I have had more of such experiences in understanding the thoughts and motivations of those around me. I have also noticed that close friends have this ability often more pronounced then myself. I have known people personally who were very gifted at reading the thoughts and actions of others to come to a determination as to what their actions and mine should be with others who enter my life and their own.
