Meditation and working off Karma

One of the most interesting facets that is a result of meditation is evolving more quickly spiritually speaking. Paramahansa Yogananda has specifically told us that bringing energy and light up and down the spine burns out the seeds of past karma; This is because the seeds of all past karma are lodged in the astral spine. i have noticed that many meditation techniques involve the movement of energy and light up and down the spine. The Iam technique that Amma developed also uses this technique and no doubt many other meditation techniques.
