When I worked for the state I honestly felt a true soulless environment. Right down to the fluorescent lighting.
I'm luckier. I'm working in an office where there is a fair and honest, uncorruptible technical boss. I work with two engineers with whom I'm perfectly all right and with friendly terms. There has been some backstabbing but from other offices in different regions. I cut all relationships with the backstabbers and with most outside colleagues. I do not forgive, this is a main flaw of myself which I'm aware of. If I'll have the opportunity, I'll make sure to take Revenge on the backstabbers. If not, I'm surely not obsessed about it.
True enough though, the work is becoming exceedingly dullsville, it beats being penniless though.
