Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

« on: Jan 28, 2013 01:12 am »

Today i had a very wonderful day. i was talking to a man i met at SRF and he had tears in his eyes as i was talking about experiencing Gods love. i asked him what he was experiencing and he told me; "Sometimes it is hard to hold in the love for God when it is twice as powerful as your owns body." He looked up and tears ran down his cheeks.

Then a minister pulled me aside to talk with me for quite awhile about some very personal ways i could bring God into my trucking experience and about history and past life experiences. i am fortunate to have his friendship.

The minister talked about moving toward the heart of God and rushing forward expressesin divine love. The soul is the pure fire of love for the divine. Move forward with crystal tears of your prayers for the divine. Discipline the mind. At any moment where is your mind? Be very concentrated with what you are doing. Even when we work the mind should be focused. The mind is rarely focused. Multi-tasking is not good. Sometimes we have to do it. We have too many things on the mind and we cannot do anything right. Discilpline the mind. Concentrate the mind on one point.

Everyday ask; why do you want God? The more we meditate the more is are desire for God and-the more we think of God the more we want to meditate. Ask God to help us awaken devotion within us. Read the SRF lessons everyday. In them Paramahansa Yogananda expresses the love for God that he felt all the time: The devotion and love for God.
