hey steve you might like this one
apparently there are some civil war themes going on in here ??  Grin

I took myself a blue canoe
And I floated like a leaf
Dazzling, dancing half enchanted
In my Merlin sleep
Crazy was the feeling
Restless were my eyes
Insane they took the paddles
My arms they paralysed
chorus
So where to now St. Peter
If it's true I'm in your hands
I may not be a Christian
But I've done all one man can
I understand I'm on the road
Where all that was is gone
So where to now St. Peter
Show me which road I'm on
Which road I'm on
It took a sweet young foreign gun
This lazy life is short
Something for nothing always ending
With a bad report
Dirty was the daybreak
Sudden was the change
In such a silent place as this
Beyond the rifle range
[repeat chorus]
I took myself a blue canoe

You may find this an unusaual response. The struggles of life can be at times very difficult. What confounds me are people that go thru the struggle with others and try to help them. Then when they need help.... the same people they have helped are not there. Somethings do act against us and prove that our higher expectations were not in accordance with reality checks. It is a complex karmic web. 'Something for nothing aways ending in a bad report.' You begin to understand why those we have helped created so much trouble for themselves in the first place and continue to.

I can always count on you to peep your
head in for anything exciting!  Don"t take too much
of an interest; your  curiousity may prove more
real than imaginary. We woud not want that
 to happen Grin

besides i am happy to see you fell out of a tree
and flopped down right here. I wanted to tell you brother squirrel;
great grandmother squirrel was talking in Portland
Oregon, looking up amoung the trees left an
important message, that is :
if there's a chip on your shoulder
it might mean  there is wood higher up.
Being one with the brotherhood
of squirrels i added it to my sacred
cup of squizdom. i have filled
the cup deep with the nector of
her presence...... whether it be sweet or sour to the taste buds.

Hey brother of the squirrels !  Cool

curiousity is for the birds

chip on the shoulder, reminds me ... fell off the branch at family picnic last summer , right into the chip dip !  Shocked
then someone dropped a bag of tator chips over me, talk about chips on the shoulder  Grin.... loved the dip though ! HA HA HA

more hot & spicey flavor than sweet or sour, is my taste of preference

cheers to you !  Cool

Smiley liked your post flying squirrel and it seems
 that  Eric picked a topic
people respond to.

what I'm saying is that I think we need to look at our actions.
when we act do we act or do we react?
2 act comes from an  inner sanction.
when we react there is a compulsion involved.
what comes from above
is no longer a chip on the shouIlder.
but could quickly become a block.
it could mean there is a block higher up.
that's where the expression blockhead
comes from. however it seems to me it
is better to react then to be indifferent.
indifference shows a lack of spirit a lack of life.
