I have travelled a few times to a very remote town about 100 miles south of Zhanjiang China. I mean you are "out there".

Out there, life is so different. There's no rush. There isn't all the things to keep track of like we have here. You don't get many things instantly. This family I visited has electricity, but they rarely use it. It's all a very simple life, simply because there's hardly any conveniences. There's not a lot to do, but I didn't mind that. It's quiet. Just being able to sit and really not have much to worry about feels normal to me. I didn't meditate when I was there, but now I wish I had.
