Hi Steve....yes I have always given a larger orb when looking at a chart, I myself have found that I feel an infulence of a planet long before & after it is in direct contact with the natal planet, and the sign its in I feel ,also has a pull on the influence a person feels. Such as with Pluto transiting in my chart right now and its constant retrograde cycle....current issues with my dad where pretty much ongoing the last year or so. And my relationship with my ex, I left the marriage just as Pluto was about to enter into my 8th house and leave the 7th house(end of 2008,December and first of 2009)...these are prime examples...with Pluto moving in and out of my 7th and 8th houses much of 2008 and into this year. Wouldn't you say so?
i see that according to this chart (i assume it is Placidian and not Koch?) your 8th house begins at 25 degrees. So Pluto has been there for a while. The changes in relationships that took place underground when Pluto was in your 7th manifested when Pluto hit the 8th. But really Sue i think the big event is the Pluto over your Saturn. Why? Because Saturn has to do with our inhibitions and fears. When Pluto came along and sits on Saturn for this extended time you are facing some of your fears and inhibitions. They will come to the surface so you can work on them and renew your life in safe mode and without the added baggage hiding below the surface.
