Steve thanks for reminding, we can never talk too much about the SE, the Spiritual Eye.
If we were able to concentrate constantly on that while carrying out our duties we would already be within the saints.
I appreciated all you post and this part I find particularly inspiring and is what I'm goign to practice, at least trying to practice:
Brother Bhaktananda used to take care of the gardens at self realization fellowship. Paramahansa Yogananda would walk in the gardens. he would come up to him and say: every now and then lift your eyes and say that what your doing is for God and Guru. it is 1 way to connect with God.
I think our job will carry power that way.
If we have a job which is not mental rather physical, we can draw coordination, efficiency or simply work with a blissful mind.
If we are committed to an intellectual job, we can receive inspiration and creativity. connecting with God means connecting with his infinite creative power, which will flow back from the mind to the results of the job. I'm firmly convinced about that.
mccoy I’m wondering if you recall this post you made back in 2015? I still look into the flaming light that is like an orb of bright yellow spreading out flame and hope to create the right conditions so that I may pierce it and enter the star within it, which Paramahansa Yogananda speaks of in the SRF lesson. I know I have much more work in this life to see deep into the third eye and create the conditions that warrant me seeing into it. Sometimes I see the colors of the chakras, which I asked Amma to give me that experience and she was kind to me and said she would help me. But my mind is also, and most importantly, set on practicing jyoti mudra daily to see the third eye vividly.

Paramahansa Yogananda, a revered spiritual teacher, describes the spiritual eye as a profound inner experience. When a yogi concentrates with half-open eyes at the point between the eyebrows, they can perceive this spiritual eye. Here’s what Yogananda shares about it:
Formation of the Spiritual Eye:
Through deep concentration, the yogi sees a dark opal-blue globe surrounded by a quivering ring of flame. This is the perfect formation of the spiritual eye.
Within the blue globe, an extremely brilliant white star occasionally glimmers. The star serves as the gateway through which consciousness can attain oneness with Spirit1.
States Experienced by the Yogi:
As the yogi advances, they experience the following states through the spiritual eye:
Superconsciousness: The ever-new joy of soul realization.
Oneness with God as Aum: A profound connection with the divine2.
Depictions in Art and Symbolism:
Many deities are depicted with a third eye on the forehead, slightly above where the eyebrows meet. While our normal two eyes are elongated horizontally, the third eye is often shown as vertical3.
In summary, the spiritual eye represents a gateway to higher consciousness and divine realization. It is not a physical eye but an inner perception that leads the seeker toward spiritual awakening. 🌟👁️
