Overcoming Fear and anxiety

Fear should be a cautionary device to spare us suffering. Once a ghost came to a town in which there was a yogi who was meditating. The meditating yogi said leave our town. But the ghost persisted and said it is the karma of this town to have three people taken by a disease. So the yogi consented. But after three people died, three more died and then another three. The yogi went deep into meditation and contacted the ghost. You did not tell me the truth he said to the ghost. You have taken more and more. The ghost replied. I did tell the truth. I only took three the rest died of fear.
