How much thought have you given to speaking with spiritual guides? How do we know they are responding and it is not our own delusions that we hear?

Usually i just hear my own thoughts. i do believe that God can reason and speak through our thoughts though. i hear phrases and songs sometimes. i also believe that God can speak through others. Sometimes just the right words are spoken that are pertinent to current conditions. Sometimes others 'hear' much more. i often wonder about it especially when the voices they hear involve me.

how would you define " spiritual guides " ?

other people hear voices about you ? not sure I understand ?
they get messages meant for you ?

Yes messages that refer to me. Spiritual guides; anything that comes from spirit including God. His message is from spirit.

in my case....their image appears in my kutastha <3<3<3  also....i feel their essence. 

i can sense if it is my guruji PY....swami rama tirtha.....etc.

i can sense if a friend/lovie comes to me....like my yoga partner....grandfather...i have even felt Jitendra....and so on...

This has also been my concern. It is difficult enough to understand what is happening in the messages we get for ourselves.

Yet there are people we can go to for advice and they are often 'guided' by spirit.
There are many things in this life that are not easily separated into black and white.... wrong and right. We are often challenged to use our own discernment, intuition and judgment.

Nomaste There is a difference though between communicating with spiritual guides and having them give advice about other people. It is sweet that you have such conversations. As you must know there is also much more that awaits us in spiritual development.

Kind of a condescending comment about my conversations being  " sweet "  as if you are saying " yes, but holds no substenance due to lack of feelings and other spiritual signs. "

You keep throwing in this " As you must know there is also much more that awaits us in spiritual development " .... if it is the essences and feelings of lovie with Jitendra... thanx I will pass on that one ! I wonder how much spiritual is in that, how much is delusion, illusion, which you and others of a certain spiritual persuasion always remind us that this life is filled with ?

Thanks for your participation Squirrel. There is  difficulty that i see in using words on the internet. It is difficult to know how they are intended. i can see how you might interpret 'sweet' as condescending. Although it was not intended that way let me say this; It is wonderful that you communicate with your spiritual guides.

Thanks Squirrel i am learning about others here on the forum. We are learning together which in turn helps me make improvement on myself.

As far as the multiple posts it was just a simple way of not answering two posts at the same time on the same thread. Your observations about me are welcome. i can not answer for Annie but i do feel as though she is very special 'lovie' as you put it. You are also a very special squirrel and your perspective is also. It is helpful to see things from other peoples views. Illusion and delusion? i think you are trying to be of help by adding your view. Circumstances make it very difficult to assess your views. Talking to someone on the internet is helpful but until you meet someone and spend time with them it is hard to know how you function together. Perhaps some day i will be able to meet you as well as her and others on soulsearching forum. This is my hope.

We can only help each other if it is taken in the right spirit. Hope i did not miss something here; If i did; i intend to listen again and try to respond if it will help. i for one think that there is much more to learn in my spiritual development. i can not answer for anyone else. i should not answer for you. i just thought you might have the same thoughts. If not then i stand corrected.

It is helpful to see things from other peoples views. Illusion and delusion? i think you are trying to be of help by adding your view.

Just for reference, the words illusion and delusion do not really belong in my vocabulary, but I notice them being frequently used here on this forum. Kind of like a spiritual excuse for when things are not going as they should, then blame it on the illusion and delusion of the world. But that is another conversation, for another time.

yes squirrel....we all know how u feel about me.....u make this known quite frequently.

fyi......i refer to ones whom i care about as 'lovies'.....IF u notice i also included my grandfather, friends, yoga partner and my guru....just to name a few.   do u understand now ?

another issue i am going to claify....i am not a liar and i have a pretty good grip on the earths continents......when i said , a while back, that there is someone i care for very much that lives continents away..that is exactly what i meant....plural....continents(S)....not the same continent....and i do not appreciate ur reply to that post.....stating that this person lives on the same continent as i do....and then assuming it was jitendra i was speaking of. 

u have a tendancy to assume and put words into others' thoughts, feelings and words......much like u accuse jitendra of.

another thing i will clarify.......love.  just because someone loves another does not mean it involves sex or sexual feelings ( obviously ).

if the old saying is true...u are what u eat....u may want to jump to another tree ,  one that does not bear such bitter nuts....
