It seems per long distance travel like you've been doing, the jupiter/chiron conjunct your north node is more prevalent. Like when you said your van started up and you got lucky with that occuring (mercury in retrograde will influence those factors as it moves), but it seems that moving is a 'good thing' for you to do, esp since the north node is the direction we're going, and jupiter is conjunct right now, and with its own spiritual connotations also will aid along the way (seems the guru is involved in your journey, of course that goes without saying), but also with chiron conjunct the whole healing factor comes into play as well with such a formation. So this would be a good time exploring with meditation groups. Its just a matter of eventually settling 'down' and things probably wont really settle until saturn crosses thru the fourth house more strongly.
