Amma and focus during meditation and otherwise

Amma uses the illustration of cotton (or a dried leaf under a magnifine glass) held in the light rays of the Sun the cotton or leaf will ignite. In the same way if we use are focused energy on one thought we will create a powerful result during meditation and release a lot of energy. Instead, most of scatter our thoughts in all different directions; and so we dissipate our energies.
