It’s interesting to see our lives in retrospect. Friends leaving. Dreams vanquished. Jobs no longer tenable. But what does last is the practice of meditation. And those who’ve abandoned it have lost out on the meaning and significance of life. Because knew revelations and approaches to life as well as meaningful people enter our lives who bring us new understanding and recognition of an unfolding life that brings a better knowledge of what we went through with others in our life. Why misunderstandings took place. And why people misjudged us. In our practice of meditation we ask for direction and pray for others. Thinking of them and not so much ourselves brings meaning to all encounters. We eventually see that we may have not been so wrong as some others would have us believe. Although in most encounters we never are completely wrong or right. There is a certain amount of relativity in life that follows us and takes away distinguishing qualities of being right about our behavior and actions.

We can see people who have attempted to hold on to their notion of what happened in relationships and have left us. Although in the practice of meditation we find new and meaningful encounters to replace them if we were and are honest with ourselves in our relationships. Sometimes though we need to knock on new doors and not go back to the old ones because we know where those doors lead.

We are meeting people and moving forward spending time with them and not remaining in a quagmire. People eventually respond to invitations or they remain at an impasse of indecision while life passes by as well as the opportunities they are given with others. By praying for others, even when they have mistreated we often are given the answers as to why we have been separated from them and their spiritual challenges they face.
