its hit me now... some point in my life... i want to go on a pilgrimage...
i would love living amongst a tribal community... the means to find a loving ancient tribe go beyond me right now... i just know its something i want to do... these things will be very fulfilling and a true privilege

so... why not start now?
if anyone here has experience i am grateful for any helpful advice...
first.
what is a pilgrimage- really?
a quick search in google

a journey to a sacred place

In religion and spirituality, a pilgrimage is a long journey or search of great moral significance. Sometimes, it is a journey to a shrine of importance to a person's beliefs and faith. Members of many major religions participate in pilgrimages. A person who makes such a journey is called a pilgrim.

i'd have to start small if i(realistically speaking) wish to get started
i guess now is the time to start asking myself- what do i wish to accomplish out of all this?
i am going in hopes to raise vibration and send/receive love with nature.
i am going for something very personal yet universal.
for the long term i wish to achieve the same thing but also an awareness through variety in life.
also... living with a spiritual peoples for a brief amount of time- very in tune with the earth... the guardians.
Love and friendship.

i know these are practices we should include in our daily lives but the act of going out seems really beneficial. hopefully i can use what i learn properly.

i'm thinking of going on a camping trip for 4 days. we're going somewhere woodsy and clean- still a work in progress as far as finding an ideal condition but this is all a great start.
i'm going with two friends... i've told them i want to make this sacred and have invited them to do the same... to do what their Soul wants while we're out there.(it was actually my friends idea a while back... i think they like to hunt im not sure i will do that... but i will honor what it is they're their to do)
sure there will be moments of personal introspection and private commune with the earth but there will be moments where we are together- and despite our differences- hopefully the energy we share with one another will be both healing and rewarding for not only ourselves but the earth.
i want to go where there is a natural pond... yes i want to feel the water! i want to meditate.. im thinking of bringing my crystals and practicing in things like prayer around the fire. sending/receiving energies.
i want to hug tree's and do what feels right to me.
i would also like to be able and REALLY slow down... humble myself... draw deep focus on will

so... aside from proper camping material/equipment- do you have anything to add to this?
in much gratitude

<3 thx

Hi all i have been on many pilgrimages in my life. Good idea. There are variations on how much time you spend with civilization and how much time you spend in nature or around spiritual centers and spiritual people. Namaste2All and i were recently on a pilgrimage. A bonding for friends. Hope you tell us about your experiences.....

Taking a break from the routine often brings unforseen blessings. May you have some of your own!
