It may be all true but I don't think left wing politicians have ever fasted to give their lunch to the homeless.

I would accept your reasoning if it did no distinction between left and right wing politicians.

Senator Sanders has homes and cars. To those who object it, and I heard it in an interview with him, he just retorts that he is a senator of the USA and earns a salary.
