Is it true that there is a strong vegetarian culture in South America?
I cannot speak for all of Colombia 🇨🇴. I’ve been in Bogota the whole time I’ve been here. But what I have noticed is a more cosmopolitan atmosphere here. And less commercial advertisements and indoctrination into the cheeseburger 🍔 generation that has inundated Cloneland back ‘home’. Many restaurants that are here even have a small alter for Krishna and the owners Gurus. So I’ve found many restaurants dedicated to a vegetarian diet. One thing I’ve found difficult here is that not many restaurants have strictly whole wheat bread. People seem to have been brain washed into eating paste for pastries and bread.
