Chi or otherwise known as Prana

Essential Point:

Chi is the Manifestation of the Essential and Indwelling Life Force that both enables and enlivens your Human Form. Often called “Prana,” it is the Manifested Divine Cosmic Energy that Flows through all Life Forms to Empower Existence.

Overview:

Chi is the Manifested Life Force within you and is a Pointer to the Source of the Essence of your Being that enables and empowers your Humanness. It is the Fundamental, Divine Energy that fuels the current of Consciousness in your Human Form.

You could describe it as the Manifestation of the Tao, which is the Source of Consciousness that provides not only your Consciousness, but the Consciousness of all Life. The Tao provides the Chi, or Prana, that flows through you so that the Form can continue to be sustained. Once the Chi leaves the Form (i.e. Death occurs), the Form returns to Formlessness once more.

Chi flows through the Chakras, which are the Energy centers of the Form Vessel. In this sense, what makes a Chi Master is someone who can harness Energy skillfully and intentionally. A Chi master’s primary Language is the Language of the Universe, which is Energy, or Consciousness, itself.

Chi is the Cosmic, Divine glue that links the various Planes of Existence together, flowing interdependently throughout. Through Awakening you become Aware of the Existence of the Tao, Chi, and their individual and combined influence in the Physical Dimension that you Perceive with the Senses.

I think in traditional Chinese medicine it's also called Qi, the above description illustrates it well as basically Prana, lifeforce, vital energy coming from astral, rather than material or chemical sources.

I still find it difficult to reconcile basic biology of mitochondrial energy, deriving from chemical sources and following the laws of thermodynamics, with the theory o Prana or Qi.
