Amma was deeply affected by the profound suffering she witnessed. According to Hinduism, the suffering of the individual is due to his or her own karma — the results of actions performed in the past. Amma accepted this concept, but she refused to accept it as a justification for inaction. Amma contemplated the principle of karma until she revealed an even more profound truth, asking a question she continues to ask each of us today. “If it is one man’s karma to suffer, isn’t it our dharma (duty) to help ease his suffering and pain?”

Karma is very different for different people. Some people never even find out the purpose of life. They are like the sleeping 💀 walking dead. It is best to not make comparisons but to carve out our own meaning and purpose in life.

Three Ways to Rise Above Karma: When you continuously pray and meditate, you go into the land of superconsciousness, where no troubles can reach you.
""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
If you want to rise above karma, try to realize these three truths:
[1] When the mind is strong and the heart is pure, you are free. It is the mind that connects you with pain in the body. When you think pure thoughts and are mentally strong, you cannot suffer the painful effects of evil karma. This is something very cheerful I have found.
[2] In subconscious sleep, you are free.
[3] When you are in ecstasy, identified with God, you have no karma. This is why the saints say, "Pray unceasingly." When you continuously pray and meditate, you go into the land of superconsciousness, where no troubles can reach you.
You can be free from karma right now, by these methods. Whenever karmic troubles plague you, go to sleep. Or, think pure thoughts and make the mind like steel, saying to yourself. "I am above it all." Or, best of all, in deep meditation go into the divine state of superconsciousness. The bliss of that consciousness is the natural state of your soul, but you have forgotten your real nature by being so long identified with the body. That untroubled, blissful state of the soul has to be reacquired.

Few people really understand that we are here on this earth plain working out our karma. Most people think we are here to become something or to enjoy something or to get something. The truth is that we are here working out the karma we have created in many lives. And to at some point be free of our actions in the past and our desires for the future.
