Experiences During Meditation

This is a new topic created because we had so much overlap of experiences in meditation and challenges finding them on the site.

I have found that with any discipline there can be dry spells when you really don’t care to practice,  but you continue on, knowing that inspiration and experiences will return. Most of all recognizing that we all need plenty of work on improving ourselves to warrant the expanded consciousness and experiences we seek during meditation. Quite often we are challenged to look at ourselves and practice introspection to improve our awareness.

What I have found over decades of practice is that when we have experiences during meditation we usually do not give them the credit or appreciation they deserve. And when later they dwindle we miss them a lot. It is better to continually show appreciation for what we are given n the way of spiritual experiences.

The above applies to where we live and who we spend time with also. Things change so much. Right now I live in a beautiful area with woods, rivers, dunes and lakes, but soon that may all change. See photo below…

Yes some environments cool our space in life; others threaten our spiritual equilibrium and harmony. Grateful to have your presence here for our harmony and understanding.

I’m able to go on long joggs at nights where I stay now. The days are still hot but they are getting cooler. And there are many smells and sites of autumn which fill the air and atmosphere.
