At YSS, we honour July 25 as Mahavatar Babaji Smriti Divas, marking the auspicious occasion when Babaji visited Paramahansa Yogananda at his parental home in Kolkata to bless him, before Yoganandaji’s travel to America to spread the ancient science of Kriya Yoga worldwide.

Lahiri Mahasaya assures us, “Whenever anyone utters with reverence the name of Babaji, that devotee attracts an instant spiritual blessing.”

A special online meditation to honour Mahavatar Babaji was held on Sunday, July 25. Two meditation sessions were held in English and Hindi led by YSS sannyasis. These included periods of reading, devotional chanting, and meditation.

Babaji’s blessings. While jogging today in the Manistee National Forest I came across this blessing.

😂 that’s on the trailer I have now mccoy. Where I live you are more likely to see hooded men representative of the Klu Klux Clan then saints painted on a trailer! Flags on cars and houses that say ‘f**ck ‘ Biden. I wonder what these people will do now that he is out of the race. It is indeed difficult to know what violence they will resort to after the last Jan 6.

This is what I do for divine protection…..
I drive a car as though it can be a weapon. Some of the Amish people in this state have been run down riding bicycles. We need to be tremendously careful. (Touch the photo below and it should be visible as you’d see it outside.) I sincerely believe that taking the Masters with me while driving protects others and myself. I’ve seen some miracles happen on the road and at times I’ve averted hitting animals as well. I will continue to pray and ask for divine intervention in the case of unforeseen events driving to see saints and to be in Mother Nature. Life is full of surprises sometimes pleasant but other times…..well I prefer to redirect my thoughts when I think of those other times as not to manifest such things. I bring my thoughts back to the protective forces.

But we are in a time honoring Babaji so I included the wonderful blessing he brought to me yesterday when I was in the woods, it is a puffball mushroom on the side of the trailer, in the first photo i provided, in the last post.

🙏💜  BABAJI CHOOSES SRI YUKTESWAR TO TRAIN PARAMAHANSAJI To Bring Yoga to the West

BABAJI to SRI YUKTESWAR: “‘I saw that you are interested in the West, as well as in the East.’  Babaji’s face beamed with approval.  ‘I felt the pangs of your heart, broad enough for all men.  That is why I summoned you here.

“‘ East and West must establish a golden middle path of activity and spirituality combined,’ he continued.  ‘India has much to learn from the West in material development; in return, India can teach the universal methods by which the West will be able to base its religious beliefs on the unshakable foundations of yogic science.

“‘You, Swamiji, have a part to play in the coming harmonious exchange between Orient and Occident.  Some years hence I shall send you a disciple whom you can train for yoga dissemination in the West.  The vibrations there of many spiritually seeking souls come floodlike to me.  I perceive potential saints in America and Europe, waiting to be awakened.’”

At this point in his story, Sri Yukteswar turned his gaze fully on mine.  “My son,” he said [to PARAMAHANSAJI], smiling in the bright moonlight, “you are the disciple that, years ago, Babaji promised to send me.”

I prepared a large slice of the puff ball mushroom Babaji provided me with on his commemorative day, with onions, tomato slices, mustard and a spinach tortilla. If was indeed delicious. And I have much more left.
