Mccoy we let this subject of the yugas go now for awhile, but Vedic astrology has so much more to explore. I have been thinking for sometime now about putting together a Sidereal chart for you. Unlike the tropical chart which is governed by the earth’s annual rotation around the Sun and the planets and their moon’s rotation, the sidereal chart puts the Sun and its planets in their rightful place - in relation to the stars (and not the Sun), thus taking into account the procession of the equinoxes, in a personal chart as well. Are you interested?

Ok I’ll be at it soon thanks! I’m interested in you as a friend and person. And just going out at nite….looking at the vast sky, it’s wonders, mysteries, revelations and relevance to our little lives and relation to others here and out THERE! It’s something overwhelming for our little minds to fathom. I guess that’s the inspiration for meditation; there has to be some way of approaching this drama beyond our human capacity.

Sidereal chart for mccoy

Mccoy looking at first glance at your sidereal chart compared to your tropical chart…. I would say this one more accurately represents you. Why? Because this one has Scorpio ♏️  as your ascendant and Virgo ♍️ as your midheaven.

The tropical chart - that i first did for you places Sagittarius ♐️ as your ascendent and Libra ♎️ as your midheaven. Now after knowing you for years I would say that serving - Virgo ♍️ - has become your life objective (midheaven) And because you seem quite reserved ( ♏️ Scorpio ) and at times intense in your outward display to the public I believe this sign portrays you more accurately in your outward persona. It also gives an initial glimpse at how you at times react strongly to differences in views. But then quickly counter that with a more reserved attitude towards your first response.

I have meant to explain your sidereal chart for some time now. And intend to continue reflecting on it for sometime to come unless you prefer I do not.

Yes I see you are getting the hang of it! I really shouldn’t be surprised with a Sun/Uranus conjunction. Remember Uranus is the ruler of  Astrology and with the planet so close to your Sun there is always the ability to see things ahead of others and to have a totally unique spin on realty and creating new ideas for others and yourself. The stellium in Leo is now placed in two signs. The Sun and Uranus being in Cancer ♋️ while Venus still resides in Leo. I find this explains the family (Cancer) emphasis in your life even to the extent of sacrificing some of your spiritual activities to satisfy family and protective -
Cancer - feelings of responsibility.

Mccoy; Thus in your case the stellium is in Cancer (Sidereal chart) which pertains to providing care for others. I have found though that at times we may find ourselves as caretakers (Cancer) when in fact this does NOT define us and our ultimate goals in life.

It is reaffirmed and validated by another aspect in your chart; Jupiter quincunx Mercury (150 degree angle )…..

Is that you who have found the truth? Or perhaps one of the spiritual greatest of all who used astrology; Sri Yukteswar? Or maybe Amma who has astrologers at all her seminars that I’ve attended. Or perhaps you are talking about one of the three ‘wisemen’ who were astrologers. Or maybe you meant Laurie Pratt (Taramata) who wrote a book on astrology and the yugas and who Paramahansa Yogananda called already liberated and did not need to meditate in her incarnation. Or maybe you are referring to Carl Jung who used and validated the use of astrology in his therapy. We’re all these people still seeking or we’re they an example to us to not throw away the tools as long as we needed to map out our lives?

I have nothing against the idea of picking auspicious moments in time to start something beautiful. The thing is, though:

If you are willing to accept everything and all in your life as is - then 98% of all your problems are solved instantly.

I have kept practicing this attitude for many years now, and it helped me a lot. It is being taught by the masters.


On a side note: 
Harald Bluetooth, king of Denmark and Norway had a personal fart-interpreter who walked behind him all day in a bent-over posture in order to tell the king what the day had in store for him.

Many feel there are some gurus who are not worth seeing or having their advice. Yet someone else may have had quite different experiences and feel quite different. Who are we to judge? Someone may think our practices and people we follow are worthless as well. Let us practice tolerance and accept what works for one person may not be another persons medicine and helpful advice.

But many people had the benefits of for instance Lahiri Mahasaya or Sri Yukteswar’s advice about astrological amulets or astrological advice for health and many other subjects as well. We know that much of the advice was given from an astrological perspective. And today Carl Jung is considered one of the greatest psychologists of all time who used astrological terms and knowledge in his practice and his scientific research. We also know that Amma has astrological advice at all her retreats. She now has become known as the hugging saint and would you interpret her darshan as a worthless gift given over 40 million times now? I would not belittle your spiritual influences in such a way.

Your comment below about our problems is very similar to mine above. Imagine that! We have many similar ways of saying things. Just different words and people have said them.

The hardest thing in life is to let go to accept  that there is nothing we can do. When we are insulted we will not be affected because we know we are not that person. We are free. What is the point of reacting? forgive; the past is gone.

I also used to wear an amulet that Brother Bhaktananda made and advised wearing to absorb karmic consequences of astrological occurrences. Many people consider it superstitious behavior. Once I walked into a restaurant and the amulet broke into pieces without even touching anything and fell off my arm… to the floor. No one experienced that accept myself and the spiritual aspirant I was with that day. Yet to me it had much significance that you or someone else may not relate to at all.

Mccoy I’ve been looking a lot into sidereal astrology since it fits Sri Yukteswar’s model of our local place in the Milky Way galaxy. It also appears to fit a better description of you in relation to the stars visible to us. I’m having some internet issues with getting the fixed stars pulled up with your chart but keep attempting it. Hope you are finding your own discoveries you’d like to share. You should take a great interest in it if you could only find the time. As you know I say this because Uranus, the planet that rules astrology, is conjunct your solar energies and identify in Cancer. These people are willing to buck a trend and can see things thru a different lens then the rest of society. They will set a path of their own with their own unique insights to offer others, if necessary, to do it.
