I wonder if you noticed different changes in consciousness in the years of your life? For instance; I remember as a kid reading the Hit Parader and various musicians were asked what their favorite colors were. Although I used to have a preference for blue, I realize today my preference is no longer for any specific color. Especially since seeing some of the astral colors of the chakras I’ve learned to appreciate them all. I have just been happy to see any one of them and at times they mix and mutate to other colors; creating a blend.  Even black signifies a distinct contrast and definitive contrast.

Red: Passion, Love, Anger.
Orange: Energy, Happiness, Vitality.
Yellow: Happiness, Hope, Deceit.
Green: New Beginnings, Abundance, Nature.
Blue: Calm, Responsible, Sadness.

Black: Mystery, Elegance, Evil.
Gray: Moody, Conservative, Formality.

A few years ago I made a choice only to wear dresses in blue hues. That has been a substantial simplification in my life. I have two pairs of blue denim trousers, when one is dirty I wash it and wear the other. I have blue T-shirts and polo shirts. I never wear other colours for a change. My nervous system is twice as happy as before.

Although I was attracted to blue as a kid I have since felt more of an attraction to lavender and purple. And I like wearing Brite colors like yellow.

Since I am now in my later years I often see yellow during my meditations and sometimes reddish hues, green hues  or even lavender/purple. In my early years of meditation I rarely saw such colors. I associate them with the chakras. And, I remember asking Amma - when I saw her in person - if she would help me see the chakras.

Chakra colors in order from Root to Crown are the following:

Red - First Chakra: Root Chakra (Muladhara),
Orange - Second Chakra: Sacral Chakra (Svadhishthana),
Yellow - Third Chakra: Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura),
Green and Purple - Fourth Chakra: Heart Chakra (Anahata),
Blue - Fifth Chakra: Throat Chakra (Vishuddha),
Indigo - Sixth Chakra: Third Eye Chakra, (Ajna),
Violet and White - Seventh Chakra: Crown Chakra, (Sahasrara).
