I will take it … just need time with understanding… thanks for the explanation. It also led me to his song above; ‘My body is a Cage’ very spiritual ideas and experiences here. The lyrics to ‘Cage’ are quite intricate and his voice also does something to me, so I could not always focus on the message. Often good vocalists can take you on a trip just by the vibration and quality of their voice. Our friend Kelly here can do that with her voice.

Yes. I've dabbled in singing, percussions, keyboards and guitar playing. Nothing 'serious', though. When I was 16 or so, I tried practising to sing 'Space Truckin'. It still makes me laugh when I think of this. - Can you imagine crossing more than 2 octaves with your voice like that singer?! Let me tell you, I only 'barely managed' if at all, then. (Watch out for the later! "Yeah yeah yeah - come on" part):



As for that film snippet above (Man of La Mancha 1972), I think Peter O'Toole might have been dubbed by an opera singer. Not sure...

I think I was impressed by your appreciation for so much music! But it takes someone to find their limits to really appreciate such things and to recognize just how much further we all have to go. It’s true that maybe that’s all God may expect for our small little efforts, really like that clip with Jim Nabors.

Yes I’m ok with that. It’s the most important quality I find with some people here. They have the ability to see their own self defined limits and are attempting to go beyond them. That’s really all we can really do.

Not sure why the video does not show up but I checked it out on YouTube. They mixed down the volume of the yea yea yea so you cannot really tell what it sounds like. Thanks about telling me about your musical ventures… I had some other comments here, but must give it some reflection and see if you or someone is interested in continuing this thread.

I am already aware of your observations. With no judgement here; you cannot and will not please everyone. I have concerns larger then this site; while honoring the views of others, what happened during the civil war and what is happening now have similar issues that are part of my sadhana and which I was brought into this life - and I believe another life as well - to resolve and not to put off or ignore.
