Republicans like Ron DeSantis have made banning books and threatening librarians a cornerstone of their political agenda. It’s totally unconstitutional.

Personal opinion,

It's dangerous thinking only republicans are acting against the constitution. We have books being banned, and statues being torn down.

I think it's good to celebrate a nations history, Swami Vidyadhishananda says to choose civic nationalism. I believe its ok to feel a sense of pride for your nation and your people. I say this thinking of examples like Japan. The culture truly values offering the best they can, and keeping their cities clean and their people safe. I think of having pride for Indian culture who consider themselves a spiritual hub whose culture serves as an offering to the rest of the world.

I think it's ok to be a white or black american and feel honored to be a part of American history, where we fought to end slavery. And tearing statues down because some of these figures were slave owners or racist is wrong(in my opinion). We can have pride for our history and for all the progress we have made.

Erasing history and censoring information goes beyond placing blame on republicans which only aims to keep us in a low vibration and view our fellow man with contempt.

"No dress for timmy" was banned for being, "transphobic"
A book that wants to teach children the difference between boys and girls.

This is especially concerning when you have major institutions beholden to a corporate scoring system which is essentially the social credit score. This system is in place to, "influence behavior and shape society." This leads to the infringement of basic rights. Identity politics and the case for equity(not equality) is modern slavery.

The world is being unified, our nation at one point believed in ideals like freedom of speech. I can say, despite it all, people understand this value and recognize its importance with the free flow of information online- which is something we can be proud of. Let's come together in our pursuit of higher ideals, regardless of your skin tone or your religious or nonreligious belief. Regardless of your political beliefs.

You can have pride for your nation, and you can at the same time, have pride for humanity. You can be proud of all your ancestors have accomplished, and of all the opportunity they've left for you to rise through.
