Apologies, seemed I missed the point - definition of compassion. Did not mean to travel into personal territory.

You did not miss the point. i just didn't want to make it too personal. Your understanding is correct. Sometimes life takes on a very personal quality to me. i have to remind myself not to take myself too seriously. It is shame to get so identified with our own feelings. i mean feelings are o.k. but we are so much more. Occasionally i get glimpses of higher places though it does seem that the personal life is still a factor in my life. i think we are all just trying to understand this big drama called life that we are going thru. Sometimes the images of others seem so real and we recognize the uniqueness of their souls and ther influence in our lives.
