Intereststs; Meditation/Spiritual Life

I have this concern; that I haven’t shown enough empathy. Enough prayer. Enough concern. Enough compassion? Enough awareness for those affected by the pain and suffering of War.

Let it be known, peace is not possible, as long as people can't find a way to live in it in their homes, families, peer-groups, etc.

So why waste the energy on discussing this ever-ongoing political BS?

Beats me!
________

Also...

I don't honestly believe that someone meditating 5+ hours per day (haven't I just recently read the claim by someone on this board?) would ever engage in such worldly discussions (let alone be the heaviest poster of any political agenda on this board)?

I agree; peace should be lived at home; including here at spiritual portal and in our ‘peer group’ allowing others their opinions, concerns, sympathy, empathy, awareness and supportive prayer, with respect for each others spiritual regimen…. And at times even their criticism of us;  Brother UWE. ( no you have not “recently read the claim that someone is meditating 5+ hours per day…by someone on this board” )

Provocation can lead us to learning something about ourselves, Steve.

Yes you are correct in more ways than one ( Jesus provocation of the Jewish leadership. )

The High Priests were both secular and religious leaders of the Jewish community. There was sometimes more than one ‘high priest’ or ‘chief priest’ (Greek, ‘archiereus’ meaning ‘arch-priest’). Annas and Caiaphas, for example, are both mentioned in the gospels (see Luke 3:2 & Matthew 26:14). Annas was appointed high priest in 6AD, and Caiaphas was appointed from 15 to 36AD.

Between 6 and 41AD, high priests were appointed directly by the Roman procurator (governor), and worked hand-in-hand with the ruling Roman authorities. They were responsible for the upkeep of the Jewish Temple and for maintaining good order among the Jewish community.

There were a number of things about Jesus that infuriated the religious leaders. These included. The claims that He made. The deeds that He did. His threat to their religious system. His threat to their way of life. The people with whom He socialized. The lack of respect He had for their religious traditions.
