Eric, the data about mortality were clear from the beginning. When I saw the data on the cruise ships, I was relieved. This is a very infective but little-lethal virus, except for the elders and fragile, I thought.
It turned out that the virus was actually dangerous to the higher age group and some people with particular conditions suffered.
The response of governments may have been justified at the beginning, due to uncertainty and fear. Surely it was not justified after the vaccine was created.
They kept imposing lockdowns even after vaccinations, kept imposing a 3rd booster shot, kept the mandatory vaccination for all and went on terrorizing people. They also suppressed the dissenting voices, like in dictatorial countries. I was amazed, but it happened.
Italy was the country with the most draconian measures, it had the higher mortality and its economy was the most penalized. Not a very good outcome I'd say.
Aside from that, if I may ask, why are you still ruminating about that dark period?
I believe mccoy’s last (see above ☝️ ) sentence above is divine council to both of us Eric . There is something morbid and with an octopus 🐙 grip on consciousness that keeps us holding on to past grievances. However, saying so is cheep. Walking our talk takes us to a totally different level. I at times find myself ruminating and observe such behavior and it’s precursors and conditioning influences. I have also witnessed how such dark presences vaporize from our environment when we ourselves do not give them the power of listening and involvement in those dark spirits who are caught in the web of entanglement. Do I think I’m free of them? No but the whole witnessing factor is taking place and I’m attempting to admonish such shadowy presences. I am perfectly aware that it is easy for me to make my observations about someone else but fail to concede that I have my rational for discussing my own dark thoughts.
