Steve, to be honest, I'm pretty skeptical. Until there is clear evidence of such stories, I'm not too convinced.
Many people have an agenda to make money out of such narratives. Human nature.
The evidence for me are my own experiences. More real than seeing a jet ✈️ in the sky. I suppose somewhere there are people saying a jet is a bird, just as there are people who say a UFO is a meteor. But when I see a a flying object that others with me identify as a jet I call it a jet. And, if I’m in the presence of a friend - which I have been - that identifies a UFO as a UFO I also confirm that is what I’ve seen. My skepticism is not for what has been seen but rather governments that make up stories to cover up what has been seen. So both of us have skepticism but my skepticism is so strong I would be willing to call governments liars about the subject.
When a friend is a lawyer that tells me it is common practice for government officials to intentionally lie about a crime committed to make a so called criminal admit to lesser charges, I become skeptical of the enforcement and prosecution.
We both have skepticism mccoy, however yours is for a witness of what someone sees and hears. Mine is for those who listen to their own headlines in their head and make up their own narratives to hide their own skewed opinions, weaved by the spin doctor in their heads. Unfortunately such people do not always need evidence because they can make accusations based on their positions in society, rather than the accuracy of their statements.
I know that I am in good company about such a skepticism of government officials since Jesus himself was such a case of how government officials make false assumptions about who they see as villains against their authority and accuracy of assessment. At some point we have seen so called authority figures disagree about their own perception of events. At that point we become very skeptical of multiple government sources and they’re so called expert reports. Here is a recent example;
https://apple.news/AUBwQLL50Tj2uReJl4FCyrANow I would like to ask you a simple question; who and what should we really be skeptical about? Is there any information we can trust in honesty and the so called data and authenticity of so called evidence? I’m not too convinced there is such reliability. I would be much more inclined to believe what spiritual Masters have told us than what any ‘evidence’ given by the ‘clear evidence’ handed down by any scientific or government official and ‘expert’.
